  • Strategy Director, People Strategy & Operations

Xero · AU: Sydney (45 Clarence St)

    NEWHybridFull-time

The role and its impact As a Strategy Director, you'll shape and drive the strategic and operational priorities that translate Xero's people strategy into coordinated, organisation-wide outcomes. Reporting to the General Manager, People Operations (who also serves as Chief of Staff to the CEO), you'll be a key contributor to People team leadership discussions, bringing a whole-of-business perspective to some of the most consequential decisions Xero makes about how it invests in its people. Your remit is broad and deliberately varied: from process and system redesign to capability building, organisational change and board paper writing. You'll lead a portfolio of complex and often ambiguous initiatives, connecting the dots across People teams to ensure strategy, priorities and OKRs add up to something coherent. As a senior individual contributor, you'll Go Further by lifting capability around you through coaching, challenge and expertise, shaping how the function operates, not just what it delivers. The team and how they connect The People Strategy & Operations team partners across People Team to shape long-term direction, build the function's operating model and translate strategy into execution. They work closely with senior and executive leaders across Xero, structuring ambiguous problems into clear recommendations and staying close to delivery to ensure those recommendations land. Initially, the role will focus on - Shaping and leading a portfolio of strategic initiatives that span process redesign, culture, governance and capability building across People team - Developing strategic narratives and analysis for Xero's Executive Leadership Team, helping clarify complex topics and align decision-making - Evolving the operating model and operating rhythm for People Team, driving better prioritisation, faster decisions and clearer accountability - Reimagining critical People processes and ways of working, embedding best practice and using technology, data and AI to create scalable solutions Where and how you can work This role is based in Sydney, Australia, working in a hybrid model that combines in-office collaboration with the flexibility to work from home. Our boost days bring the team together in person for connection and collaborative work, with the rest of the week flexible to suit how you work best. Here are some of the things we're looking for, for this role - A background in consulting, or strategy and operations, transformation, ideally in a complex technology or SaaS organisation, has shaped how you approach work - You bring deep expertise in structured problem solving, the kind that identifies problems beyond the original brief and coaches others to think the same way - Your analytical instincts are sharp: you navigate varied data sources, surface non-obvious insights and use them to shape strategic decisions - Building trusted relationships with senior leaders comes naturally, and you know how to manage tension and create alignment across organisational boundaries - You've led cross-functional portfolios or strategic initiatives with broad organisational impact, adapting through ambiguity rather than waiting for certainty - Lifting the capability of those around you, through coaching, challenge and expertise, is something you actively seek out, not just something you do when asked Apply even if your experience isn't a perfect match! At Xero, we hire based on your skills, passion, and the unique perspective you can bring to enhance our culture and team.

  • Senior Engineer - AI Agentic

Xero · AU: Sydney (45 Clarence St)

    NEWHybridFull-time

Senior Software Engineer, AI Enablement The role & impact You'll join a small team that builds the tools, platforms and best practices helping engineers across Xero work with AI. Rather than shipping something once and moving on, you'll own it end to end from early experimentation through to production, including the run books, monitoring and rollback thinking that keep it reliable once real engineers depend on it day to day. This is a role with real influence. You'll help shape the technical direction of an internal skills marketplace and AI distribution platform used across the wider engineering organisation, work directly with vendors like AWS, Microsoft and GitHub on technology that isn't public yet, and help guide and challenge a team that's still early in its AI journey. The team & how they connect The AI Enablement team sits within Engineering Experience and focuses on helping product engineering teams work faster and better with AI through platforms, tooling and practical guidance rather than just standard tooling. It's a close-knit team, spread across Melbourne, Sydney and the Sunshine Coast, with a product manager based in Wellington, who stay connected through regular syncs and a genuinely collaborative way of working despite the distance. Initially, you will focus on - Our current stack is C#, .NET and AWS, with Python and TypeScript picked up along the way for AI tooling - Building an internal skills marketplace and a distribution platform for AI tools used across Xero's engineering org - Developing guidance and best practice for authoring agent skills, including agents for remediation tasks - Collaborating directly with AWS, Microsoft and GitHub on early-access technology not yet available in market Where and how you can work You can be based anywhere in Australia, and we're also open to candidates based in New Zealand. The team works in a hybrid way and is used to connecting across time zones, with regular in person boost days to come together, plan and collaborate as a team. Here are some of the things we're looking for, for this role - You bring hands-on software engineering experience, ideally with C#, .NET and AWS — if your background is elsewhere, we're still keen to talk, as good engineers pick up new stacks quickly - You've built internal tools or platforms that other engineers genuinely relied on - Production discipline matters to you: You write runbooks, set up monitoring and think through rollback before anything goes live - You communicate clearly and know how to bring people along with an idea, not just ship code quietly in the background - You're curious about coding agents and AI-native tools, and you keep an eye on where AI engineering is heading - You can challenge a decision directly and respectfully, and you learn new things in a structured, quality-focused way Apply even if your experience isn't a perfect match! At Xero, we hire based on your skills, passion, and the unique perspective you can bring to enhance our culture and team.

  • Product Growth (CRO) Manager

    Eucalyptus · AU - HQ - NSW

    NEWOn-siteFull-time

About Eucalyptus We're on a mission to make good health last a lifetime. More than 1 billion people live with obesity worldwide, driving preventable chronic conditions. We're here to build better long-term care. Eucalyptus is now part of Hims & Hers, the global leader in personalised health and wellness. Euc is the company behind Juniper, one of the world's largest weight-management programs combining GLP-1 medication with personalised nutrition, movement support, and clinician-led care from prescribers, nurses, health coaches, pharmacists, and dietitians. Our published clinical research shows that our combined clinical and behavioural approach helps patients lose significantly more weight during their treatment with Juniper by four times. Our Growth Story: • Supporting patients living with obesity across our 5 markets • Received selective NICE endorsement to provide services to the NHS • Tailored our offering to thousands of patients in Australia, the UK, Germany, Japan and Canada. About the role We're looking for a Product Growth (CRO) Manager to own and improve one of the most important journeys at Juniper: how prospective patients move from their first visit to our website through to starting treatment. Juniper has a complex, considered customer journey. Prospective patients need to understand our program, decide whether it's right for them, complete a health assessment and ultimately make a meaningful healthcare decision. You'll combine data, experimentation and a deep understanding of customer behaviour to make that journey simpler, clearer and more effective. This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role within our Product Growth team. You'll own conversion across our digital funnel, identify where and why prospective patients drop out, and turn those insights into experiments that materially improve performance. You'll work closely with Design, Copy, Engineering, and Analytics to turn opportunities into shipped experiments. As Juniper expands into new products and patient needs, you'll also help build and optimise the new conversion journeys that support that growth. What you'll be doing • Own conversion across the funnel. Take accountability for performance from landing page through to quiz, assessment and order, identifying the biggest conversion leaks and opportunities for improvement. • Build and run our experimentation roadmap. Translate customer behaviour and funnel data into clear hypotheses, prioritise opportunities based on expected impact, and run a structured experimentation cadence. • Get close to the data. Diagnose where customers are dropping out, quantify opportunities, and work with Analytics to ensure the right tracking, measurement, and attribution are in place. • Design rigorous experiments. Own A/B and multivariate testing from hypothesis through to execution, analysis and decision-making. • Turn experiments into decisions. Clearly articulate what worked, what didn't and why, using results to determine what we ship, iterate or stop. • Understand the customer behind the numbers. Combine quantitative data with customer insight to understand intent, friction, trust and the reasons people hesitate or abandon their journey. • Lead conversion-focused creative execution. Partner closely with Copy and Design to turn hypotheses into messaging, UX and customer experiences that improve conversion. • Partner with Engineering and Product. Take opportunities from diagnosis through to implementation rather than stopping at recommendations. • Connect acquisition and conversion. Work closely with Growth to ensure the experience customers land on reflects the intent and messaging that brought them there. • Build new conversion journeys. As Juniper expands its product ecosystem, help create and optimise funnels for new products and patient needs. • Raise our CRO capability. Establish strong practices around prioritisation, experiment design, measurement and learning so we continuously get better at understanding what drives growth. About you We're looking for someone who has genuinely owned conversion problems, not simply supported a CRO program. You'll need to have: • 5+ years of experience across CRO, experimentation, digital optimisation, product growth, or a similarly quantitative digital role. • A track record of owning and improving digital conversion funnels, with clear examples of measurable commercial impact. • Strong hands-on experience designing and running A/B and multivariate experiments. • Strong analytical instincts. You can interrogate funnel performance, identify drop-offs, size opportunities, and translate data into hypotheses. • Experience working with Analytics or Data teams to build robust measurement and attribution frameworks. • Strong customer judgement and an understanding of how UX, messaging, friction and behavioural psychology influence conversion. • Experience working closely with Design, Copy, Engineering and Product to turn hypotheses into shipped experiences. • Strong commercial judgement and an ability to connect individual funnel metrics to broader business outcomes. Experience in healthcare, subscription businesses or considered-purchase journeys is useful, but not essential. We're much more interested in how you approach customers, experimentation and growth. Why this role matters • Conversion is one of Juniper's biggest growth opportunities. • Our patient journey is fundamentally different from a simple ecommerce checkout. People are making a personal healthcare decision, often after spending significant time thinking about their health and weight. Building trust, communicating clearly and removing unnecessary friction all matter. • At the same time, Juniper is evolving beyond a single offering into a broader ecosystem of products and care. That means building new journeys, understanding new customer behaviours, and continuously improving how people discover and access the right care. • You'll have meaningful ownership of that problem, with the data to understand it, the creative and technical partners to execute against it, and the opportunity to directly influence how quickly Juniper grows. Why join Eucalyptus? Euc is also behind a growing family of digital healthcare clinics (Pilot, Kin, Software, Compound) across men’s health and well-being, fertility, skincare, and preventative health. Here’s what makes joining Euc unique: • What’s next - Our goal for the next three years is to support 1 million patients globally to live better for longer. We’re launching into new conditions, demographics, and geographies as we build a truly preventive healthcare ecosystem. • Build something world-changing - We’re on the path to becoming the world’s largest international digital healthcare company. It will be challenging, fast-paced, and deeply rewarding. • Make real impact - You will deliver work that directly shapes patient outcomes and scales evidence-based care across markets. • Accelerate your growth - You will have high ownership, continuous feedback, and dedicated development support. • Join a motivated team - You will collaborate with talented peers to solve complex clinical and operational problems at scale. What’s ahead in Australia? • Grow with us globally - Get mentorship from leaders across Australia, the UK, Germany, and Japan, collaborate with teams in the Philippines and South Africa, and explore new markets or travel internationally. ****Recognised on Hatch’s Hotlist as one of Australia’s top employers, we support early-career professionals to become future global leaders. • Shape your career - Access learning budgets, conferences, certifications, peer shadowing, and a global knowledge-sharing culture. • Work where well-being matters - Experience catered wellness talks, exercise classes, free barista coffees, funded social clubs, and quarterly rooftop parties. • Innovate with purpose - Use state-of-the-art tools and contribute to bold, impactful solutions in healthcare. • Support at every stage - Benefit from parental and miscarriage leave, health, professional development, and personal days, and our Employee Assistance Program. Our Growth Story: • Supporting patients living with obesity across our 5 markets • Received selective NICE endorsement to provide services to the NHS • Tailored our offering to thousands of patients in Australia, the UK, Germany, Japan and Canada. About the role (What you'll be doing) You will build and scale Juniper's ambassador program, taking the success we've had with partnerships like Liesel Jones and turning it into a repeatable, scalable engine. Reporting to the Head of Editorial, your mission is to identify, recruit, and nurture authentic partnerships with ambassadors who can deliver reach, credibility, trust, and relatability for our brand—while building an aspirational brand that women genuinely want to engage with. You aren't here to chase follower counts or manage transactional influencer deals. Your role is to build a strategic ambassador ecosystem that creates genuine connections with our audience and produces high-performing content that works both organically and in paid media. Every ambassador you bring on should elevate our brand, making women think, "I want to be part of what they're part of." At Juniper, we believe authenticity drives performance. Your success is defined by your ability to find the right voices, build meaningful relationships, and create a content engine that scales our message while maintaining the trust and empathy our category demands. We'll also expect you to: • Scale What's Working: Take the learnings from successful partnerships like Liesel Jones and codify them into a repeatable playbook. Identify what made those partnerships work—authenticity, content quality, audience fit—and replicate it across a broader roster. • Build the Ambassador Strategy & Infrastructure: Develop the frameworks for identifying, vetting, onboarding, and activating partners who authentically align with our mission to be the most supportive partner in women's health. Create processes that allow us to manage multiple ambassadors simultaneously without losing quality. • Recruit & Manage a Diverse Ambassador Roster: Source ambassadors across different platforms, audience sizes, and demographics. Balance macro reach with micro relatability. Build relationships that go beyond one-off posts to create ongoing, authentic partnerships. • Drive Multi-Platform Content Creation: Brief ambassadors to create content that performs organically on their channels while also being optimised for use in our paid media. Ensure content feels native to each platform—Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, podcasts—while maintaining Juniper's brand integrity and aspirational positioning. • Optimise for Dual Use: Work closely with the Performance and Creative teams to ensure ambassador content can seamlessly transition from organic posts to high-performing ads. You'll need to understand what makes content work in both contexts and brief accordingly. • Measure Impact & Scale What Works: Track performance across reach, engagement, credibility metrics, and paid media ROI. Use data to refine the ambassador mix and double down on what's driving real business outcomes. • Manage Partnerships & Agreements: Work with ambassadors to structure partnerships that work for everyone—clear on deliverables, usage, and expectations while building fair, long-term relationships that feel collaborative rather than purely commercial. • Champion Authenticity & Trust: Ensure every partnership feels genuine. In women's health, trust is everything—your ambassadors need to believe in what they're promoting, and audiences need to believe them. • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Creative, Performance, Social, and PR teams to integrate ambassador content into broader campaigns and ensure alignment with brand strategy. About you (Who you are) • Experienced Partnership Builder: Strong experience in influencer marketing, ambassador programs, talent management, or creator partnerships. You've built programs from scratch or scaled them significantly. • Brand-Builder at Heart: You understand the power of association. You know how to select ambassadors who don't just drive reach, but elevate brand perception and make people aspire to be part of the community. • Relationship-Driven: You know how to identify authentic voices and build genuine, long-term partnerships. You're not just transactional—you invest in relationships that deliver mutual value. • Platform-Native: You understand the nuances of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms. You know what content works organically versus what performs in ads, and how to brief for both. • Performance-Minded: You can balance brand-building with performance. You understand metrics like CPM, engagement rate, conversion attribution, and can use data to optimise the program. • Commercially Thoughtful: You're comfortable managing partnership agreements and budgets, ensuring mutual value while maintaining positive, collaborative relationships. • Systems Thinker: You can take what works in one partnership and turn it into a scalable process. You've built playbooks, onboarding workflows, and measurement frameworks before. • Empathetic & Culturally Aware: You understand that Juniper operates in a sensitive category. You can identify ambassadors who will handle women's health topics with care, authenticity, and relatability. • Scrappy & Entrepreneurial: You thrive in building something new. You're comfortable with ambiguity, can move fast, and don't need a playbook handed to you—though you're great at creating them for others. • Collaborative: You work well cross-functionally and can translate ambassador opportunities into actionable briefs for Creative, Performance, Social, and PR teams. • Passionate About the Mission: You genuinely care about women's health and can identify ambassadors who share that passion and can communicate it authentically. By making small business more efficient every day, connecting them with big business technology and empowering a community behind them, their potential is limitless. When that happens, we’re not only helping small business, we’ll be building a stronger economy that can change the world. THE ROLE & TEAM Product Data Science & Engineering is a portfolio team within Product & Technology. Partnering across Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Commercial leadership, we set Xero’s data science strategy across broad product areas and operate in an AI-native way—using AI to transform how we work, not just what we ship. The team co-own Xero's metrics stack, experimentation strategy, and enterprise data architecture and builds AI-powered customer experiences including the Jax chatbot and agentic workflows—in partnership with Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google. They also lead AI measurement and productionisation. We work in an AI-native way. That means AI changes how data science itself gets done here, not just what we ship. This is a new strategic leadership role created to scale Xero's data science and AI capabilities. You will take full ownership of the data science, analytics, ML, and AI strategy and execution across Accounting & Bookkeeping, Small Business, and AI products. This role combines strategic product vision (including Jax, agentic workflows, and AI-powered features) with platform thinking across the metrics stack, experimentation, data quality, and governance, driving enterprise-level impact across every product team. WHAT YOU’LL DO - You will translate company-level objectives into strategic sub-objectives across analytics, ML, AI products, and experimentation, elevating both the quality of decisions and the leverage Xero gains from its data and AI investments. - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data scientists, analytics engineers, ML engineers, and managers, scaling the function from ~12 to ~30. - Design team structures and operating models that preserve high throughput across multiple locations and time zones. - Operate as an AI-native leader, driving how AI changes how data science operates and ships value across Xero. - Act as the primary data partner to Product & Technology, advising C-suite and SLT on data utilization, retention strategy, new data domains, and AI investment decisions. - Represent data science in executive forums and partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Commercial, Legal, Privacy and Risk on strategy, prioritisation and governance. - Own AI governance, model risk, data quality, privacy posture, and experimentation integrity across the portfolio, ensuring company-wide compliance and integrity. - Drive behavioral, technical, and cultural standards across the vertical. Own and improve global hiring practices, build talent maps, and coach senior leaders and individual contributors to raise the bar across Xero. - Proactively identify delivery and strategic risks, designing robust organizational processes that yield consistent, high-quality outcomes for Xero. WHAT YOU’LL BRING WITH YOU We welcome candidates from analyst, scientist, engineer, or AI/ML-focused backgrounds—a linear data science career is not required. What matters most is that you have operated, shipped, and led at scale within a fast-paced technology environment. As a self-starter and executive partner, you will shape and lead strategic agendas alongside C-suite and senior leadership, driving throughput across multi-location, global teams. You excel at bringing structure to complex cross-functional challenges, managing ambiguity, and maintaining a strong "Xero-first" mindset focused on delivering strategic value and accountable execution. - Ability to act as a proactive self-starter and executive partner, shaping strategic agendas with C-suite and SLT, presenting to board-level leadership, and influencing key investment decisions. - Proven ability to manage ambiguity, bring structure to complex cross-functional challenges, sustain throughput across multi-timezone teams, and hold stakeholders accountable to a "Xero-first" standard. - Skilled in leading managers, coaching leaders into senior roles, developing high-performing teams, and constructively escalating strategic risks when necessary. - Experienced in navigating teams through significant scale-ups, operating model transformations, and continuous evolution in fast-paced environments. - Practical experience leveraging frontier-model platforms (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) to build agentic workflows, chatbots, and AI-powered products, as well as transforming team operating models using AI workflows. - Substantial experience leading data science, ML, or analytics functions, with a proven track record of managing other people leaders across multi-team structures. - Extensive experience building and running enterprise-scale data science functions, AI/ML productionisation, AI governance, model risk frameworks, and experimentation integrity. - Deep technical fluency across applied ML, analytics engineering, instrumentation, eventing, and schema governance, with a strong engineering mindset focused on building scalable platforms and reusable architectures. - Prior exposure to SaaS or small business segments, with a track record of driving scale, data quality, and privacy compliance. - Technical bachelor's or master's degree (PhDs welcome for applied, high-impact organizational challenges), supported by public thought leadership or open-source contributions in data or AI. Apply even if your experience isn't a perfect match! At Xero, we hire based on your skills, passion, and the unique perspective you can bring to enhance our culture and team.
